I'm looking for ideas to separate rooms...? - beaded doorway curtains

I have two rooms by a door, separated, without a door. I want to put something - I think, like a beaded curtain, but I'm not a big fan of aesthetics. Looking for something easy to clean and, preferably a room is the kitchen and a room for garbage, etc., and easier to pass (no door) Any ideas?
